1. Agreement
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and TQ Tech. If you do not agree, do not download, access, or use AudioTrim.
You must be old enough to use the App Store in your country and, where required, have permission from a parent or legal guardian. AudioTrim is not directed at children under 13.
2. About the Service
AudioTrim is an iOS application that automatically detects and removes silent sections from audio and video files. Silence detection, preview, trimming, and export are performed on your device. AudioTrim does not upload your media files to our servers for processing.
No account or sign-in is required to use the core features of the app. An internet connection may be needed for subscription purchases, restoration, and loading certain in-app links.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, TQ Tech grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use AudioTrim on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app except as allowed by law.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where prohibited restrictions are not enforceable under applicable law.
- Use AudioTrim to build a competing product or service.
- Circumvent free-tier limits, subscription checks, or other technical protections.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use AudioTrim only in a lawful manner. You are responsible for all content you import, process, export, or share through the app.
You agree that you will:
- Only process audio and video files you own or have the legal right to edit.
- Comply with applicable copyright, privacy, and other laws.
- Not use the app to process illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
We may suspend or terminate access to the app if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, though we are not obligated to monitor your use.
5. Free Tier & AudioTrim Pro
AudioTrim offers a free tier with usage limits, which may include restrictions such as maximum file length and daily trimming allowance. Free-tier limits may change from time to time and are described in the app at the time of use.
AudioTrim Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features such as unlimited file length, unlimited daily trimming, batch processing, and expanded export options. Pro features and pricing are shown in the app before purchase.
We may offer promotional trials or introductory pricing. Eligibility and duration are determined by Apple and shown at checkout.
6. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds
Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. TQ Tech does not collect or store your payment card information.
We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status and support purchase restoration. RevenueCat's terms and privacy policy apply to that service.
- Billing — Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel — Go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Restore purchases — Use the restore option in the app if you reinstall AudioTrim or switch devices.
- Refunds — Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies. Contact Apple Support for billing disputes.
- Price changes — Apple may notify you before a subscription price change takes effect.
7. Your Content
You retain all rights to the audio, video, and other files you import into AudioTrim. TQ Tech does not claim ownership of your content.
Because processing happens on your device, you are solely responsible for backing up original files, reviewing trimmed output before sharing, and ensuring you have rights to distribute edited content.
Trimmed files and history entries are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them. Deleting app data or uninstalling AudioTrim may permanently remove locally stored history and exports.
8. Intellectual Property
AudioTrim, including its software, design, logos, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by TQ Tech or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our branding except as needed to use the app as intended.
9. Third-Party Services
AudioTrim integrates with third-party services necessary to operate subscriptions and platform features, including:
- Apple App Store — distribution, billing, and subscription management
- RevenueCat — subscription entitlement verification and restoration
Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
10. Disclaimers
AudioTrim is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that silence detection will be perfect for every recording, that exports will meet a specific quality standard, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. Results depend on file format, recording quality, silence threshold settings, and device performance.
You use AudioTrim at your own risk. Always keep backups of important original files before editing.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TQ Tech and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or content, arising out of or related to your use of AudioTrim.
To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for AudioTrim Pro in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TQ Tech from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of AudioTrim, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded AudioTrim from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and TQ Tech, not Apple.
- Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for AudioTrim.
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you as a beneficiary.
- Your use must comply with the applicable App Store Terms of Service.
14. Termination
You may stop using AudioTrim at any time by uninstalling the app. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service where reasonably necessary for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will continue to apply.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate. Continued use of AudioTrim after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Privacy
Your use of AudioTrim is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information on-device and through subscription services.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where TQ Tech operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
