1. About This App
AudioTrim ("we," "us," or "our") is an iOS app published by TQ Tech that detects and removes silent sections from audio and video recordings. Processing, preview, and export all run locally on your iPhone or iPad.
This Privacy Policy explains what information AudioTrim handles when you use the app and our website at removesilenceaudio.com. By using AudioTrim, you agree to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
AudioTrim is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, photos library contents, precise location, or payment card details.
2.1 Data stored on your device
The following information stays on your iPhone or iPad unless you delete it or uninstall the app:
- App preferences — appearance (light/dark/system), haptics on/off, and onboarding completion status.
- Trim history — file names, media type (audio or video), original and trimmed durations, number of cuts, local file paths, and creation dates for items you save to History.
- Free-tier usage — cumulative seconds of audio/video processed per local calendar day, used to enforce the free plan limits (1 minute per file, 5 minutes per day). This counter resets automatically at local midnight.
- Imported and exported files — audio and video files you choose to import, plus trimmed output files saved by the app, stored in the app's local storage area on your device.
2.2 Subscriptions (Apple & RevenueCat)
If you purchase AudioTrim Pro, payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment card or billing address.
We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status (for example, whether AudioTrim Pro is active), manage offerings, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may receive an anonymous app user identifier and purchase receipt data from Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details on how they handle that information.
RevenueCat may also receive limited analytics when you view the paywall (such as which offering was shown). We do not use this to track your media files or editing activity.
2.3 What we do not collect
- We do not upload, transmit, or store your audio or video files on any server we operate.
- We do not use advertising SDKs (no AdMob or similar).
- We do not require Google, Apple, or any other sign-in to use the app.
- We do not sell your personal information.
2.4 Website (removesilenceaudio.com)
Our marketing website is a static landing page. It does not use account logins or collect media files. Standard web server logs from your hosting provider may record basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) — we do not use this to identify individual users or link it to your in-app activity.
3. On-Device Processing
All silence detection, waveform analysis, audio trimming, and video jump-cut export happen entirely on your device. AudioTrim does not send your recordings to the cloud for processing.
An internet connection is only needed for optional features such as loading subscription products, completing a purchase, restoring purchases, and opening links (for example, this privacy policy or support email). Trimming itself works offline once a file is imported.
4. Files, Permissions & iOS Access
AudioTrim requests access only when you take an action that requires it. We do not scan your device for files in the background.
You choose audio or video files through the iOS file picker (Files, iCloud Drive, or other locations you select). AudioTrim only opens files you explicitly pick.
When you export or share a trimmed file, iOS may ask you to choose a save location or share destination. AudioTrim only writes files you request.
Used for App Store subscriptions, purchase restoration via RevenueCat, and opening support or policy links. Not used to upload your media.
You can revoke file or network access through iOS Settings at any time. Some features may stop working if access is removed.
5. History & Saved Files
When you complete a trim, AudioTrim can save a record in your in-app History along with the trimmed file on your device. History entries include metadata such as file name, duration, and number of silence cuts — not the audio content itself in a separate cloud database.
You can play, share, or delete any item from History at any time. Deleting an entry removes its local record and associated saved file from the app.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
We share limited data only with the following service providers, solely to operate subscriptions:
- Apple (App Store) — processes payments and manages your subscription billing.
- RevenueCat — verifies subscription entitlements and supports purchase restoration.
We do not share your audio or video files, trim history contents, or imported media with any third party.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- On-device data (preferences, history, usage counters, and saved files) remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear app data, or uninstall AudioTrim.
- Subscription data held by Apple and RevenueCat is retained according to their respective policies. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- To request help deleting data we may hold outside your device (for example, a support email you sent us), contact TQTechOfficial@gmail.com.
8. Children's Privacy
AudioTrim is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us at TQTechOfficial@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. Because most AudioTrim data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it directly by removing history items or uninstalling the app.
For subscription-related requests or any questions about your rights, email us at TQTechOfficial@gmail.com.
10. Security
Because your media is processed and stored on your device, it benefits from the security protections built into iOS (including device encryption when enabled). We recommend keeping your iPhone or iPad updated and using a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of AudioTrim after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we may also notify you in the app where appropriate.
